Thats pretty cool, the style looks a bit like the Shaolin Monks.
xxmiyaxx
lol, awesome! biggrin.gif Thats cuz it originated form Im prett sure :\ or some of it did :P
ACMILAN1983
Possibly did originate from India, but there's no definite proof as far as I know.

Anyway, this is a contentious issue with many people, so I try to not get to involved into the origins. One time I was threatened because I suggested Indian monks were the key or influencial to the origin of Shaolin Kung Fu. I had evidence to back up my points, but unfortunately people don't listen if they don't want to believe.

The Chinese have a sword dance as well, but usually done by a female. It's more jumpy than that one though.

This is coming from the one who called me an anti-Indian? sure.gif

That is NOT a Sikh Punjabi man. embarassedlaugh.gif That is a Hindu Rajput man.

Didn't you read the title of the video? It even said they were celebrating Navratri (a Hindu holiday).

Traditional Rajputs in Rajasthan also wear Turbans. It's not just Sikh Punjabis who do this.

If you notice, the Rajput turban and the facial hair is different from the Sikh turban/beard.

The man's turban in the video is obviously different from the Sikh turban.

Before anybody mentions it, it's true that Sikhs also have a similar sword dance.

It's called Gatka.

I stand corrected and no I didn't read the title icon_neutral.gif

Try this. This is Sikh sword dance Gatka; which means twin sword play. Back in the day this is how it was done.
