I am from mix filipino ethnic family so the bad words thrown at me sometimes is from all over the place. What's the most common thing your parents say when they're pissed?

my mom usually stick with uki ni nana tuyen, or ukininam. my dad sticks with putrages when he swears, which is not as much anymore.

don't understand much of that $hit so doesn't bother me.. but bothers them when i curse in english O_o wtf...

what do they say in filipino?

the last one is a bit ironic, putang ina or putang ina mo means your mother is a whore. so whenever your mom call you that smile at her. that's why my mom stopped using that on us.

is it kantot? i always thought kantot was more of a verb.

anyways, my mom doesn't 'swear' in tagalog. she only swears in english.

eg:
"wow, she's such a b!tch"
"what a bastard"

but then:
"anak ng tinapay!"
"oh my gulay"
"anak ng pating!"
"ay kabayo"

yes kantot or kadyot. hehe. but it doesn't mean the same as expressive "fu-k!". puta however holds the same value.

i like it when polite old ladies accidentally say "ay puke" or "anak ng puke". and then they get all shy.

really? puta is almost universal for most pinoys. kantot is never used as american "fu-k". kantot is a vulgar way of saying sexual intercourse.

lintik = "insolente" (rude in spanish), i think this is the right meaning because in Iloilo we use "linte" instead of lintik and it certainly is not derived from bwisit and leche.

kininam = ilocano variant of pu###### (you probably know what it means hihihi)

Funeta is Spanish. I never could understand it but my parents used it alot. Some puerto ricans use it too.

Yawa can mean mean devil/demonyo or sometimes aswang.

i have some cebuano blood, so i know that ngyawa is used (or is it yawa?) in Cebu, yawa means diablo/devil.

yeah, bilat can be used in a variety of ways. anyway, I have been in the Philippines all my life except this year I am in Taiwan so of course I know Ilonggo and Tagalog curses and some Cebuano and Ilocano (from my roommates back in college.)

Tagalogs are very poetic, their curses are weird. That is one, "hectas hudas satanas", and there is also "susmaryusep" which is from hesus, maria, jose. Another is "walang hiya" = shameless (although this is just mild insult) Oh i forgot, there is "ang kapal naman ng mukha mo", kapal=thick mukha=face which literally means your face is so thick, meaning "you are shameless despite the fact that you should be ashamed"
