Have you visited MO lately?

Have been watching tv lately and they have been advertising for Minnesota.

Been to Philly. Like for a day. I was downtown, and it seem very similar to Chicago, but at the same time they have bigger shops, and it seems a lot of stuff is compressed. Their Chinatown is right in the downtown area, and the shops seem much more crowded and livelier. However their Chinatown community seem much bigger and diverse, you have to pay for parking, the street smells, and the streets are a lot narrower than the one we have here. Even though I didn't know the streets, they have a lot signs to guide you.

Been to Oakland or San Francisco when I was 6 don't remember which, but they have the best Chinatown I've seen. Eveything is so vague.

Absceon, NJ. is a suburb in New Jersey. Pretty boring cause is the suburbs. My uncle lives there, though it is peaceful and quiet there, I spent my whole trip in doors watching tv. Everything so far apart, and I was not allowed to drive his car. Only thing fun we did was went fishing, and boat riding. -_-"

Arkansas -- mostly flat and boring, but great folks.

NYC -- too crowded and smelly, and great subway system, which could become dangerous after 9 pm.

New Jersey -- extended suburbs for NYC and Philadelphia.

LA -- roads, HW, and cars everywhere.

Hawaii: Paradise! This includes places that are not so touristy.

Reno, Lake Tahoe Nevada: Not so much different from North Cali
LV, Nevada: Smokin'

South Cali: Yea.. more palm trees and desert-looking plants.
beckiiChroma
Las Vegas, Nevada: all about sex, drugs, and profanity. And too much tourists.
But its not all bad if your living away from the ghetto

wanna move awaaaaaaayyyy bawling.gif

Vegas: fu-kin awesome

wisonsin-country. boring.
mn-asians espicially the hmong in stp(the capital) tries to act all hardcore.

New York: Loved it. Reminded me of Hong Kong a little--though it's probably just because you don't need a car to get around.

Virginia: Not enough Asians. And of the few Asians I met, they white-washed and knew nothing of their cultural heritage or even their native language.

Washington (Seattle): Very nice city, but sucks during the winter time due to the mist. Gotta get used to it. (My hometown!) people are nice here. The non-Asians are very tolerant towards us, and the former governor of Washington State (Garry Locke) was an Asian guy.

Indiana: The good side of Indiana is the people are laidback and friendly, in terms of helping you out with tasks. Cost of living here is way cheaper than big cities (since it's the..midwest!) It's also more quiet than LA or other big cities I've been to.

Downside of indy. A lot of the white people here don't like to interact with minorities, esp Asians. I always get the cold shoulders from the locals here as well as my classmates. I also bump into rednecks while driving to school. The hoosiers (whatever the hell that means) or locals here like to brag about their over-rated Indianapolis colts football team that probably won't make it to the superbowl again this season. Hot humid midwestern weather. Also horrible thunderstorms on occasions.

Hawaii (oahu): Nice very lovely area with a huge Asian population. In fact, that's the only place in the freaking country (US of A-holes) where an Asian person can be a CEO of a banking company, an administrator, a judge, a big-name medical doctor, a police chief and other jobs or positions you don't see Asians getting on the continental mainland. Plenty of third and fourth-generation Japaense-Americans and Chinese-Americans. A lot, I mean LOTs, of the locals in Hawaii are mixed ethnicities. For example, mixed hawaiian-Korean-Filipino-Spanish. Or haole (white)-hawaiian-portuguese-chinese, etc. A good friend of mine from Hawaii is half Japanese and Filipino! Oh, and I love the ukulele music and some of the Hawaiian classic musics! Downside of living in Hawaii is the high cost of living. Plus you may also suffer from "island fever" where you get sick and tired of living on a small island (not much to do, and can't take any road trips).

California (Lost Angeles): Lousy big sprawling city. People are jerks, a-hole, like to "use" you as a friend if you have money, a rental BMW or are a hollyweird star. I find a lot of So Cal people to be fake too.
They also tend to be materialistic, wearing their expensive sun glasses, driving in a rental lamborghini car, eating at expensive restaurants when it's out of their financial budget.
Traffic is lousy, and the worst in the nation. $hitty public transportation system. You need a car to maneuver around LA. Otherwise, you will need a bullet proof vest to walk around LA alive. It takes three hours to drive from Riverside to Santa MOnica. I know LA off the back of my hand as I attended U$C for my undergrad years. Heck, even USC was an overrated school. Bleh.

(San Fran/Bay Area): Better, MUCH better place than LA. San Fran is a small compact city. you can walk within the city, but there are certain intersections where there are no sidewalks, hence, making it a pedestrian unfriendly city (in certain areas!). The walkway area near Ghiradelli's chocolate factory is nice. The downtown finance district area is a great shopping area.
I also like San Jose, although it's a quiet city with no life.

New York city: Very congested. People, esp the taxi drivers, drive like maniacs, speeding down narrow lanes at 60 mph. One taxi driver who drove me from La Guardia Airport to my hotel in Chelsea almost hit a pedestrian. Drivers LOVe to use their horns, hence, making NYC a damn noisy stressful city. The people in general are rude and cold. Seems like an anti-Asian city, if you look at things from a different perspective. Good side is the Korean restaurants in Little Korea, and hanging out in the Queens and Flushing area. Avoid Long Island at all cost! Damn white/jewish enclave.

Boston: People in general (not all of them) speak with that annoying "bahstan" accent. People in general are more nice in beantown than in NYC. The "T" is a good mode of transportation. I love the ferry boat ride in the bay. I also walked the Freedom Trail route. The Boston common park area is full of hippies and liberals, well..when I visited Boston last summer, with their "anti-beef, be a vegetarian" flyers. Threw mine away in the nearest trash bin.

DC: Visited DC 8 years ago to visit Georgetown Univ the summer prior to applying to colleges. Damn. Georgetown is an okay (actually expensive and ritzy!) area with ambassadors living there. But man, I thought I was in Zimbabwe when I walked around other parts of DC! I also heard of 6 shootings on the morning news the day after I arrived in DC. Crazy!
DC is all about poltics too. "I scratch your back, you scratch my back" attitude.

Kansas City, MO: Red-neck central. Full of poor whites and black people. Only reason I visited KC was because my uncle and aunty lives there. It's a very clean city though. I'm very surprised though, that a lot of Koreans live on the Kansas side of Kansas City!

Detroit (Airport stopover): Rude black people working at the McDonalds I ordered at. The locals there, at the airport employers, were not friendly. They seem very racist towards Asians. Screw them. I'm never going to stopover in Detroit EVER again! no wonder why their city is going down the $hit hole! LOL!

Omaha, Nebraska: People here there conservative, but very friendly. Way friendlier than the "hoosier" people here in Indiana. This means that the whites in Omaha were very welcoming towards my parents and me when I visited my sister doing her studies at Creighton. Also means I'd rather freeze my balls during the winter time in Nebraska than in Indiana.
Spectacular
Seattle: Maybe I am biased but this is the best place on earth. Gotta love the emerald city. Lot's of asians. Surrounded by saltwater (Puget Sound) & fresh water (Lake Washington). Seattle got some bomb @$$ weed compared to alot of other cities I've been to.

Boston/Lowell: That New England accent is horrible. People can't drive. Houses are ugly and lots and lots of old buildings that needs to be torn down. Lot's of cocky Patriots and Red Sox fans. These people hate the yankees. Lowell has lot's of Cambodians. Okay asian restuarants but Seattle has better ones.

Vancouver: Very beautiful. Nice parks like Queen Elizabeth and Stanley Park. Huge asian population especially the Chinese. Very peaceful and cosmopolitan.

Hell yeah! Seattle all dah way brah! My parents are living in Bellevue area. The chicks in Seattle are also hot. It's an "untold" secret in the US. Anyhow, I prefer those damn Californians to keep out of Washington state.

People are very friendly in the south. Hollywood has an anti-south agenda. There's just as many racists in other parts of the US.

North Carolina - My wife and I was there visiting her aunt (4 yrs ago), stayed for about 2 months. Boring as fuk, ppl are pretty cool though. Lots of Blacks... No traffic at all, lots of trees (like a freakin jungle everywhere), houses are far apart, lots of land unlike California (too fukin crowed and expensive as hell). We stayed in Durham and Raleigh for the most part, didn't venture out much because we didn't have the time. We were there mainly helping her aunt out with her business so didn't have time to go anywhere. After 2 months I said fuk this and we're back to So-Cal biggthumpup.gif
