it seems like its over. if they played like that against australia they would've been in contention to advance.

Japan must outrun Croatia.

Jun 18 2006, 10:07 AM
so... what will happen to both teams? Are they automatically out or what?
Jaimu-Jaimu
Jun 18 2006, 10:14 AM
^ Nah...both can still qualify.
Japan needs to beat Brazil and Croatia needs to beat Australia.

^ Pretty much but beating Brazil is possible.
Brazil could qualify tonight so won't try against Japan so much.

kawaguchi did very well... but miyamoto...
mitamoto suki nanoni-!!!!

^ I think over two games, Miyamoto has been one of their better players.
Nakamura has been great in the middle though...it's nice to see him drifting off the ball.

時間稼ぎは徹底していたな。
相手一人退場の後逆転したとたん
DFで徹底的にボール回し。
日本があの状況でそれをやったかどうか微妙だし。

I actually think Brazil will lose with purpose. Japan has Zico and the brazil country has such respect that they wouldnt cry over a loss. Its a great way to try new players, it doesnt matter for brazil who ever they face cause anything than a medal would be a bad WC for them so going first seed or second doesnt really matter.

MASSIVE DISSAPOINTMENT!
if u look back at the performance of the japanese side in this tournament, u know they had a huge oppurtunity to advance. infact, its pretty unbelieveable how they've managed not to.
even if japan beat brazil ( n thats not gonna happen the way they r playing) their -2 goal difference will kill any little chance they have.
bfo this tourney, id wanted to see what yanigasawa was all about n after that ... ill prob never watch him again. how could anybody, let alone a pro could miss a simple tap in??? there was a huge open goal infront of him!!! why did he hit the ball with outside of his foot, only god knows. he should be lookin to use his instep, or simply tap in with the left.
the only bright side has been the performance of kawaguchi! the rest including nakamura, nakata have been ordinary. I think ono should start n captaincy given to nakata.

Sorry to burst your bubble, japan fans but they got their @$$ kicked by Brazil left and right.
This was a sad game. I've never actually felt sorry for japan during the world cup.
