Hi All,

I know I should have looked to see if there was already a topic on the JET program, but 74 pages of topics is pretty dense to get through. If any of you have gone through the JET program, it would be great if you could enlighten some of us. I would like to see what it's like from other people. How was the experience? Is it as great as of an experience as it is protrayed? Is it rewarding in the end? Would you reccommend it to to other people? If so, why or why not? Thanks.

I heard JET programme is the best way to get into Japan, have work, a roof over your head and lots of free time to check out Japan. I tried to apply for it this year, but the embassy lost my application so they hired someone else. I have never been so pissed in my life.

Ah well, im going to Japan anyways icon_smile.gif
Boku_WA!

JET doesn't just teach English, you normally need to be more talented than that. You'll need a specialty.
Only use the JET scheme if you're prepared to go to any rural backwater that they decide to send you.
