I'm sure Filipinos mixed with Negritos a LOOOOOOOONG time ago, so you can't really trace Negrito ancestors directly because it probably happened a long time ago.

I doubt Filipinos and Negritos that lived so close to each other would not mix.

I mean there is this Filipino guy who works where I work and he has dark skin, and frizzy hair that isn't straight and looks kind of like Negrito hair.

I mean the fact that Filipinos have a halotype found in most Negritos in a DNA test show that Filipinos have little Negrito blood.

I'm sure they do have Negrito blood but it is very little since the mixing probably happened thousands of years ago.

Of course some filipinos mixed with negritos but not all. Byron, Vietnamese have had close contact with cambodians didn't some of them mix with vietnamese. You have the same situation we do, there are some filipinos who mixed with negrito but not all. And my austronesian ancestors came to the Philippines 6000 years ago so alot of us didn't have much contact with negritos because we pushed them to the mountains where they were isolated from the other filipinos and the outside world until the Spanish found them.

Of course some Vietnamese mixed with Cambodians, but it happened a very long time ago and we don't know which Vietnamese are mixed and which aren't.

Same thing with Filipinos. There could be some with Negrito blood and some don't. But we don't know which ones.

Well there are some indicators like Filipinos that don't have straight hair. I mean for a Cambodians you can tell which ones are negrito mixed with the really black skin and there are a lot of Cambodians with black skin and are probably mixed with Negritos in the past.

So it is highly unlikely that all filipinos have negrito blood. I know its been quite awhile since anyone has posted on this topic but I'd juz like to add something. Firstly, people here keep having this endless tirade of debate and insults about which race is darker or part negrito. Speaking as a filipino, I personally sometimes mistake cambodians for filipinos and vice-versa. I think it's really lame for people to keep saying their race is more superior. Geez, why can't you juz accept the fact that since we are from south east asia, we also share common physical characteristics. It's really mean of people such as ejay to keep insulting cambodians by saying they are part negrito and filipinos are more lighter than they are. I have seen a LOT of filipinos who are dark, and if that makes them part aeta then i guess the majority of filipinos are part aeta. I do not see anything wrong with that. There are a lot of beautiful dark skinned filipinos out there and I have seen some light skinned girls or boys who are not pretty or cute. It is precisely this colonial kind of mentality that really sickens me and sadly, it is quite common in the PI. If some of you would stop clinging to your negative view of dark skin people you would realize that even if Filipinos did not descended from Nigrito origin which Filipino people did.I am not of Filipino decent.But I very much love history.The Spanish were amongst the first people to colonize the Philippines.In the Spanish captains log,it described the native people found on these many different islands or

It is highly unlikely that Beyonce is 100% Black. Somewhere in her ancestry must have been some white folks. Beyonce is the surname from one side of her family. It sounds French and her family is from Louisiana I believe. The French were really liberal about interracial relationships. Most African Americans have some white in them anyways. I'm not sure if she would pass in an African country. She has a very Caucasian face. She looks Latina.

Anyways, back on topic. About Filipinos having Negrito blood. Here's how I explained it on another thread...

A pure Filipino would have to come from one of 2 racial stocks (or both): Austronesian (we call it Malay) or Negrito. The Negritos were in the Philippines long before the Austronesians. The Proto-Malays were the first wave of Austronesians. They came from Taiwan through the Philippines and went into Malaysia, Indonesia, and eventually the Pacific Islands. Their descendants are upland tribal groups like the Ifugaos, T'Bolis, Manobos, many other tribes, and maybe even Ilocanos. They are probably more heavily mixed w/ Negrito since they've lived up in the highlands alongside the Negritos for centuries while the Deutero-Malays settled the lowlands. The Deutero-Malays are the people that migrated back from Malaysia and Indonesia. There are pleanty of legends about Malaysians coming to settle certain islands. They must have some truth behind them. Most of the major lowland ethnic groups like Tagalogs, Bisayans, and Bicolanos fall into this category.

I am black American/Carribean, Beyonce is a majority West African and she would fit in West Africa and be a black woman, trust me, she does not look white or caucasian, Latina to me or any other black person I know. If so she would be a black Latina. Black people know that she adds to her look to sell records. Her facial features look predominantely black in my opinion. I know what most African Americans have in thier blood (most are only like 8-10% white, from slavery admixture, rapes, etc. not much), but that does not matter they are majority West Africans and thus accepted in West Africa and black. There are millions of black women walking the streets who have her features, because they are not famous no one questions what they are.

By the way there are millions of black Latinas who are majority West African (Dominicans/many Puerto Ricans/ most Cubans). And many West Africans who have Beyonce's facial features , they are called Tauregs, and Fulanis, Woodabes. Her face looks black. She does have past French blood but not that much, its like one great great grandmother. But the media plays that up because people cannot accept black beauty without racial admixture.
Most people do not know the various looks of black peoples. West Africa is FULL of facially different looking black tribes.

Filipinos look negrito admixed to me, they look mostly Asian but your diverse brown skin tones/shades points to heavy past negrito admixture.
