Ever since the movie Click came out, it cost $11 to see a movie nowadays in manhatten. it's stupid.. it only cost like 2-3 more dollars for the DVD with tons of extra features.. $22 if I bring my girl. makes me not wanna watch movies that much any more.

omg really? 11 bucks to see a movie? i'm gonna be there in manhattan for college this fall and i cant believe the movie price. i'm gonna be a poor college student lol here in Connecticut it cost like 5.5 matinee and 9 bucks at night. but 11 dollars! omg! o_O

Last time I saw a movie in Manhattan I think I was on 42nd street. It was a while ago because I saw The Butterfly Effect & then it was like 10.00 or so.
In Westchester a movie ticket is like $9.50.

Heh seems like some places lower it back to 10.75.. like the ones in Time Square. But downtown manhattan is still $11. While Clearviews is only $10.50.

Yeah, $11 is alot and considering you're not guaranteed the movie will be any good.
$22 to take a date to a movie better include some 'action' during the movie.

well most movies nowadays aren't that good anyway so i think you should know the risks when you purchase the $11 movie ticket.
besides, movies are just movies. except for an exceptional few, most are just watched and quickly forgotten.

I've only watched kiddy movies with my kids since they were born and only seen 1 movie just for myself and that was back in December 2002.

is that night or daytime? Where I live, it costs 7 for daytime and 9 for nighttime.

ok...I've watched a lot of movies this summer...
it's $10.75 a ticket for the AMC theaters
and I'm not sure about the Loews...either $10.50 or $10.75

guys, if the 11$ is expensive, dl some dvd quality haxed movies from the net. it takes time, but it's worth the time consuming "free" stuff. and NYC movie theaters are crappy & smells bad.

i thought that manhattan was expensive in movie ticket prices, but i went to one late showing and it only cost me 9 bucks. it was at an AMC theater if i remember correctly.

only reason is, the dollar's worth itself is going down. So the prices of course rises. ._.a Exchange rates are the same thing. T_T Last movie I saw was Simpsons. That shet cost 11 bucks too. Haha! I didn't pay for mine though. Amen.
