As you know, “khong an dau khong phai me, khong di tre khong phai Vietnam”
for instance...At the Vietnamese weddings people usually shows up 1 or 1.5 late...if the invitation says 4:00, they show up at 5:00 or 5:30, I wonder is that only Vietnamese people do this or other asian do it too?

i think it's a Viet thing.. embarassedlaugh.gif .. a friend of mine went 2 a wedding where a Viet girl marry a Chinese guy, the ppl in the groom's side all showed up like an hour earlier than the bride's side.. lol.. anyway, i was invited 2 a wedding at 7:00, i came at about 7:40 but i didn't get 2 eat until like 8:30!!! was hungry.. lol
Ryan
that's why when you want them to show up at 7pm, your invitation should say 5pm. If you don't know about this, eat before you go to the party.
Vietnamese sucks in time management. No wonder everyday is holiday in Vietnam

lol!

this site is really very interesting... i always get to learn new things. here in the philippines we also have filipino time haha...

i'm happy to know that filipinos are not the only ones who do this. reading your posts, the exact same things happen here embarassedlaugh.gif

maybe it's not an "asian" thing (i mean there was this poster who told us about vietnamses marrying a chinese the the latter's relatives came an hour earlier--personally this is unimaginable embarassedlaugh.gif )... maybe it's just a vietnamse-filipino thing

We call it "Korean Time". I think it is a pretty common "culture" in Asia. Not a good thing, though.

mmm... i think japanese are not like this, am i correct?
