Soup- sabaw (sah-BAO)
Soap- sabon (sah-BON)
dogs- mga aso (MAH-ngah AH-so) singular is just aso
cats- mga pusa (MAH-ngah PU-sa*) the 'sa' has a glottal stop in it, hard to explain.. lol
phone- telepono (te-LE-po-no)
television- telebisyon (te-le-bi-SYON)
candy- kendi (w/e it's a cognate, just say candy or she'll think you're making fun of her mom's ccent or something)
chocolate, however, is tsokolate, and it sounds exactly like it does in spanish: (cho-ko-LA-teh)

soup is sofas, but it's a specific kind.
sabaw techinically is broth.

hmm, that's odd. i always knew dog as "irot" and cat as "iring"
i think the romanization spellings i did were wrong but the first i has a long e sound

Hmm i know sweets or sweets is the same for ilongo and bisaya matam-is but i dont know about candy in ilongo its dolce.
