I am far from racist so I say this with conviction but I think the Muslims are totally out of order very hypocritical and ignorant for bring up the issue. In England we place a lot of emphasis on out facial expressions and usually can tell a lot by a persons face, if they cover it up a lot of that communication is lost. But they think it is sick of us to ask them to take it off when they themselves have not even thought about out position considering it is a country run by mainly white/christian people and lived in by mainly white/christian people.. I think they are taking advantage of our politically correct system.

I saw Question Time last week and thought that'd be the end of it, but the veil debate is still on tv eh?
My stand is that wearing the veil that covers the hair should be the right of the Muslim woman and Straw is in no position to tell them to not wear it, BUT there truth in the argument that those who cover their faces, not just the hair, do in a small way create a barrier to inter-personal relations. My sister does not veil her hair, while my mom now does. She chooses to do that now, just like back in the 60s she chose to wear em miniskirts.
The right to choose is one which all of us should defend in the country.

People outside of Britain don't seem to understand that it's just an issue that's come into

They seem to think we're running around England, hounding certain muslims down and forcing them to rip off their veil.
