Income tax I think should be lowered, whilst VAT should increase (on certain things).
There should be more bands for income tax.

Wrong...I'm a student. XD
Don't get me started on the interest they claim on the student loan you're forced to take to pay for University materials and tuition fees. I didn't even need the stupid loan in the first place but took the minimum one out to ease it up on the financial side for my parents. Now what about people who take out the full available loans?
So in the end...people who can't afford to pay for University end up paying more in total than the people who can?!
?!!!!?!!?!?!?!
Its 3.2% is it not? At least thats what my friends is. Thats $hitloads lower than your typical loan, its lower than pretty much all bonds and ISAs so I don't know how you can complain about that seeing as you can make money from it.
People who really cant afford to pay get it for free, the others can afford it, materials for mine were around £200-300

Dunno how much your materials were.

If your parents have cash on the spare, it's probably better to use that then to take out a loan.
If your parents have the cash its best to use that but still take out a loan and put it in a bond seeing as the bond interest rates are higher than the student loan rates.
