Damn I feel for you girl. Time Warner Cable was down for a day too in downtown manhattan. Man no power for over a week.. how did you manage..
It was crazy around here. I had to use candles and flashlights to get around after dark. The outage was huge, it affected about 100,000 people in different areas of queens. 19 manholes exploded including one on my block. There are 2 manholes on my block, the other one was smoking and one of the utility poles burst into flames. I'm telling you, it was crazy.

Utility poles were bursting into flames all over the place.

man y'all luck you guys ain't in the midwest. we hit record breakers of 103 or more two weeks ago.
Actually believe it or not we do hit those temperatures around here too. During a heat wave technically it would be like 98 or 99 degrees but the heat index makes it feel like it's 101 or 102. We're not that lucky.

yeah it's been so hot and humid in NJ, and my a/c just went out this week and all of the companies are backed up with a/c repair so I gotta wait until late next week before I can get a replacement
Oh man I feel for you, suffering without an ac in this weather. Make sure you drink lots of cold water so that you don't get dehydrated.
