I'm surprised a japanese company produced a game sololy based on old chinese history. not only this, but many japanese produced fighting games such as DOA, streetfighter, soul calibur etc feature the same or even more chinese figures than japanese.

i'm not saying a chinese game would show bias, but it's surprising how these japanese game developers don't try to flood their games with japanese stuff even though they know that people will buy their games

It's no surprise, you should know that the Japanese are just as interested in Romance of Three Kingdoms as we are.

atleast they recognize it , they show face thru video games but not in politics. sigh

Dynasty Warriors stuff was produced by KOEI. KOEI usually focused on Chinese history (notable Three Kingdoms) and Japanese history (notable Sengoku).

I really don't see they making more Chinese characters than Japanese characters. It's like five Japanese characters and one/two Chinese characters in one game.

I think the whole racial/political animosity thing is a bit overhyped, especially for people living outside of those respective countries. Oh sure, there's riots, and the whole textbook thing and all that, but at the end of the day, everyone's still reading manga, watching Korean soap operas and going to Hong Kong gangster flicks.

i like witty hk action movies. mainly the ones with fbi agents ,snipers , explosives , ect in it. i think those have this cool vibe to it

Street fighter has one Chinese and two Japanese.

King of Fighters have 2 Chinese, three Koreans and crap loads of Japanese.

Dynasty warriors is based Sanguozhi and sanguoyanyi so its fully Chinese with a few barbarians.

In Tekken, there are about the same number of practicioners of Chinese martial arts as japanese martial arts.

DOA has 4 Japanese and 3 Chinese.

KOEI makes game based on Korean history as well.

oyeah, from the movies twins effect 2. twins effect 1 was also lame. but the jackey chan fighting part was cool.

we do have our own games , they just dont have a international market. japan basically dominates the video game industry on a global scale, why bother trying to compete , its pointless. let them make games and porn , china can find many other niche markets.... hey maybe a little war corporatism like the US is doing , I bet china would make a $hit load from it.
