What do you guys do in your fiesta? I forgot my old town's patron saint (maybe they didn't have one) but the fiesta was during summer. Lots of food. our neighbors use to come and give us plate loads of pansit and barbecued stuff. it's like American thanksgiving but on crack. they'd put big bamboo arch banners in the main streets and flags all across the main street.

They use to make basagan ng palayok (pinata but with filipino ceramic pots), the one where they hang candies and kids jump up and try to get it, the bamboo de grasa where there is a long bamboo pole that is greased up and the first person to climb up and touch the red flag gets the prize. also there's teh karera ng hubo, where all uncircumcised kids run naked for half a mile. some kids would make cannons out of bamboo, although ours made out of empty soda cans was alot versatile. sometimes there'd be lechonan (roasting whole pigs)
