Errrr....but why are we talking about what people "want"? People with light eyes didn't "want" them, it's just the way some people are born. I don't know how that translates into a superiority complex.

wow...i wasnt suprised at the pictures really, especially the Northern Indian people with different eye colours. The kid from Tamil has some blue eyes!!! was very suprised. This just shows that people from South Asia, India area etc, are similar to the European people.
People from Indian-Kashmir where theres a population of about 12 million and the Pakistani Kashmir/Northern Areas of about 5 million have very similar features to those of the Europeans.
Also people from Punjab, Himachal, Haryana, Uttaranchal, Rajasthan and Uttar-Pradesh/ Nepal fall into that category.

People in Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttaranchal supposedly already had light eyes before any of this foreign stuff came along. I'm guessing it's the cool, mountainous climate's effects after living there for a long time.

indians are not a homogenous race, BUT we are NOT mixed with european blood...i have a few family members with blue and gray eyes, who are pure indian.
i get the feeling many ppl (non-indians, obviously) just like to think that indians cannot have light eyes, light hair, or light skin and still be 100% indian. it may be that they buy into the belief that the white race is the most beautiful, and any resemblance to them is also beautiful, but indians cant possibly have these coveted phenotypes naturally...so they tell themselves the "beautiful" indians are mixed with white blood...
i'm so tired of hearing this, but i'm glad this forum is on asia's finest, if nothing else, to debunk these ridiculous myths about india...indian society and culture was thriving for thousands of years while european culture was still developing.

A lot of non-Indian guys I see seem to prefer the dark-skinned, dark-haired and dark-eyed Indian women. I think the reason why they find it hard to believe when it comes to light eyes is because it's assumed that only white people can have those features, and that all non-whites are assumed to uniform looking.
But the only people I've heard saying that the most beautiful Indians must have white blood are second-generation Desis themselves.

I think Nimbus means that Indians with light eyes don't have recent European blood from the British, Portuguese or the French like many Westerners assume.
