I need help finding the Indian songs with the strongest rhythms.
I'm not a great big fan of remixes unless they're really good.

So far, the Tamil songs stand out...but I'm having trouble finding songs with really strong rhythms!!!

Can someone recommend some?

As opposed to weak rhythms.....
In other words, a rhythm that is danceable/rhythmic and not a rhythm that's unnoticeable and boring.

unlike english songs our songs doest depend on beats n music .. they depend more on poetry....

Many many of panjabi lyricists write wonderfull lyrics, HansRajHans' collection 'Jhanjariya' contained wonderful lyrics.
Some songs sung by by panjabi singers like manmohan-waris and gurdas man are all about wonderful lyrics written by shamsher-sandhu/Debi-makhsoospuri/Davinder-khannewala/babu-singh-maan.

If you wish to get some, search by these names and you will get results on youtube. All of the songs are about a real life theme, not crap like remixes.

It varies on theme of song. You will be surprised that salvar-kameez is not at all Indian culture dress. It is an arabian wear for both men and women and Indian punjabi female ethnic wear is lehenga-choli. But it discontinued in last 400 years since muslim impact came more towards panjab and nearby areas.

Well to be true, if there is not obscenity, western looks as good as any else to me. but i am afraid to say i hate those all girls who wear skirts.

Yeah i have left watching TV because of all these offensive panjabi singers. But we cant do anything. Anyways i still am a fan of JazzyB whose promos contain lot of nudity and obscene things.

For me, I'm more of a melody/rhythm person.
If the lyrics are poetic, it is a plus. Bad lyrics can ruin a song too but...can you give an example of the poetic nature of some of these punjabi songs you're talking about?

its hard to translate punjabi poetry in english...but if u compare the english poetry n punjabi one ... in my opinion punjabi one is better...but u r not gonna understand cause u dont know punjabi

Have u listened a female singer Rani-Randeep? I jus loved her voice and songs, Ishke di maar, All songs in the collection i remember them all by heart. ishke-di-maar and tera roop by jazzy are 2 collections i like most.

That's a nice song. Rhythmically, it's not quite what I'm talking about though. I really like Indian music in general, but I need more rhythm like some of the songs I've been hearing with the Tamil songs.

^^if the type of rhythm ur looking for is closest to dhol baaje, then u might want to check out raas or garba music.

i like gujrati garba dancing... but i dunno wot is rass..is it another kinda of guju dancing.....i love all south indian dances ( classical ones)...although i dont know wot they r singing( sounds like khata dahee... khattta dahee...dahee dahee to me .. lol ) but the dancing moves r great....
