Now i am bound to write a funny thing related to naming kids. A teacher in the university i attended, named both his daughters as they were western kids, when i asked him for reason, he specified he has plans to move to UK, and to prevent any problems, he is naming both of them as they were genuine UKites. Maybe it is because he cant speak hindi well, i everytime had badluck in his lectures.

Anyway, there's no point in doing that as in the UK Indian people usually keep their original Indian name and no one has issues with it. Although it can be pretty funny watching English people or of other nationalities trying to say/spell Indian names.

It's very rare for a British Asian to have a Western name (unless they're mixed). It's pointless to change your name to a Western name here when Desi names are already common in the UK.
