India planning export of missiles: defence minister

The BrahMos Missile has a range of 280 kilometres (175 miles) and has been developed by India and Russia.

Does anyone know how good this missile is comparing to missiles from China, Pakistan and the rest of the world ?

it is the worlds only supersonic cruise misslile n is based on russian yukont missile...it is basically a sea skimmiming anti ship missile...it is better than other cruise missles of its class because it gives very little reaction time to enemy n is deadly accurate.....

i think they r developing a longer version brahmos missile as well..

officially range of brahmos was limitred to 290 kms because of MTCR... but last time heard it can be easily upgraded to have a range more than 500 kms... n probably 1000 kms
