[b]REMINDER OF THE RULES
a. There will be one person to become member of the month each month.
b. There’s no specific criteria to become member of the month, everyone has the same chance as long as he/she is the MEMBER OF INDONESIAN CHAT regardless his/her posts and she/he is mentally healthy, and is supported by at least 2 credible Indochat members’ testimonies.
c. The last member of the month should pick a candidate to become the next member of the month and he/she should make a new thread for the next member of the month/candidate
d. Before making a new thread, the former should ask permission to the candidate.

QUESTIONS
a. Everybody has the right to ask.
b. Question for each post is MAXIMAL 3 questions.

1. Maja, ur in indo, rite? Have u ever read "5 cm" from donny dirgantoro? If not yet, then u should look for it.. For me it’s a fantastic book, it's funny and not "heavy" to read, but at the same time u could learn so much, without feeling lectured. This book is my fav at the moment. I like a lot of writers, Italo calvino, John Irving, Dan Brown, etc. for me its all about the book..

My fav line.. "can't talk must eat" homer Simpson…he3 lol…

2. My fave film "finding nemo"! He3.. seriously it is, I watch it over 12 times..
My fave actor is Johnny Depp! He's just a brilliant actor!

3. Hahahhaa..Have to admit a lot of movies make me cry.. The Cure, Forest Gump, About Sam, Out of Africa, just some small examples.. I even cry a bucket watching Bambi… he3 lol

1. I think basically we (men and women) are the same we all want happiness and we all can get hurt.. But, IMO what makes us different are our individuality and our way of thinking.. How we few the world around us. And that’s what makes me different from from other women.. The way I think and how I view the same issues maybe different from other women..

2. My parents, yea I know its corny and typical, but honestly they are.. Because I know exactly how they life their live…

3. Well.. That’s really depend on the issues.. I think NGO can delivered and create awareness on issues that doesn't have political interest in it better than GO. One might say that NGO are more neutral on issues that involved conflicting interest, but the again NGOs are sometimes also money driven..

1. Have u read The Tale of Two Cities by Italo Calvino? It was an imaginary account of Marco Polo's meeting with Kublai Khan. If u read it and liked it, try the next book called The City of Light by Jacob D'Ancona (David Selbourne) which is also another imaginary account of a Jewish merchant's travel to China in the year 1270-73 before the Mongols overtook southern china.

2. Have u read Lord of Poverty? It's an indictment about the folks who make a career out of NGOs and IGOs.

3. What is it you like about Johnny Depp? I like him too - juz as I like Laurence Fishburn.

2. no, i haven't.. most povert/development books i read are from Amartya sen or Stiglitz, but it sounds interesting, just hope i could find it..

Amartya Sen is an Indian development guru, i usually can't stand western pomp. Dr Sen is an example of a humble development guru I admire. Do u know any other asian development guru?

I have this one other asian guru i like reading from my country (S'pore), his name is Kishore Mahbubani, he was our ambassador to the UN, and he wrote this highly acclaimed book called 'Can Asians Think?' He's not a development guru but rather a political pundit. He's got some very interesting insights.

Indeed, Johnny Depp is an incredibly sexy and enigmatic guy... but would he be someone you'd like to marry (apart from Mr Taryoto of course!)...?

1. maybe because this is the latest book that i've read and its still fresh in my mind, i really love "5 cm" from donny dirgantoro.. its about friendship between 5 people with diff character, its about daily lives, finding dream, their individuality in a friendship, apreciation to nature, knowledge, and its also about love. its funny and light, but "deep" in so many ways..
what's unique about the book is that there are soundtracks for every chapter..

my fav quotes from this book "if u have a dream put in here.. 5 cm from ur mind, let it flow, but never let it go away.."

2. if i'm being optimistic, i would say moving towards a "healthy" country both in politics and economy, but it all depends on the leaders of the country.. as long as, they still think for their own/group interest, nothing good will ever happen.
