It was pretty fu-king sweet. I was pretty nervous at first, but when it was time to stand-up I was surprisingly calm. I just hookedup, did equipment checks and got ready to go. I heard standby, then go, handed of our static-lines and we all just filed out the side door of a c-130 1250ft above the ground. The wind just blasts you since you just came out of a plane doing 120mph or something like that. Then *baam* as you feel the shock and relief of your chute deploying. Then as you sail to the ground you realize those Airforce bastards dropped you off at the edge of the field and your headed towards a freaking forest. I pulled a slip away from the trees and then as I got under 100ft I realized the ground was coming really fu-king quick. I pull a slip against the drift, but I'm still going slightly backwards so I can't really see where I'm going. Then out of the corner of my eyes I see a giant rock. I'm like "fu-k, I'm going to have to try to PLF on a large rock." As I hit it I realize its soft and it yells out, "Owwwwwwwww." I just start busting out laughing as I disconnect the risers realizing that I landed on a guy in ACUs(It looks like a big piece of gravel if you've ever seen the camo pattern) still packing his chute from the last pass over the DZ. He was completely unaware that I was about to land on him. God it was a blast.

I would die before jumping out of a plane. I'm just too scared of heights

that is so fu-king awesome.
lol. landing on another person. great way to finish your first(?) jump.

if you keep at it you can develop it into a technique. dropkicking someone via parachute. i like it.

Well I've had one damn interesting airborne experience. We had our final jump last night around 10:00PM or something. Its our night combat equipment jump and I get the command to stand up, hook-up and all that good $hit. I throw my static line up, check it. Everything looks good and the guy behind me tells me safe as he supposedly checked the static line on my back. The Jumpmaster is making the final equipment check and catches my static line routed through my freaking riser. Basically when I jumped, the static line would not have released me because its stuck in between my parachute riser. I would have just been 'towed' behind the C-130. Normally you'd probably just bang against the plane or something until they pulled me in or they'd cut the line if your conscious and hope to god your reserve deploys because you got nothing else. It basically would have sucked balls. I was so nervous after that thinking something else might have been wrong. But I jumped into the night sky and everything was alright. I had a rather soft landing too considering my last one practically made me one to flip over twice.

I also got to jump out of this big @$$ motherfu-ker on Tuesday instead of a C-130. Nothing like exiting and having jet blast send you spinning out of the plane.
