I've been back and forth from Thailand to Lao in the past six months. I love both countries but I think the metro citizens of Thai are becoming identical to USA metero cities citizens which I think the Thai people will eventually lose there idenity and become infactuated with fashion, money, and glamour. What do you think...

Unfortunately, that's called part of the development in Asia where people equate higher standards of living with somewhat westernized lifestyles.

The same thing will happen to Laos with the upcoming new Lao generations, although more slowly and to a lesser extent so far.
