The movie didn't get any action until the last 15-10minutes. I thought it was overhyped and a waste of my money. Seriously the movie is called miami vice. It should have some things related to the classic tv series. Half the movie didn't even take place in miami. The two guys rico and sonny were suppose to be cool playas. Not quiet emos. my guess is that they probably didn't want to play a hollywood actress top dollar so they looked elsewhere..it must be already expensive for the studio to make this film because of michael mann, colin farrell and jamie foxx plus the big production costs.

Only time I've seen him act half descent was Minority Report, good film btw if you haven't seen it.

If you look at the movie, the relationship btwn colin and gong dragged the movie down. It was because of her the movie sucked @$$. I thought the relationship was totally uneeded and hindered the progress of the movie. Miami Vice is totally supposed to be about action but it turned out to be a love flick. THe movie pales in comparison to Manns previous works ie. Heat and Collateral.
Also the movie suffered from production difficulties, the hurricanes destroyed some of manns production notes and Foxx kept b!tching about pay.
Last, the last gunfight was one of the best i've ever seen. It rivals Heat in realism and action.

It is very contrived for the movie to drop a Chinese lady in Columbia and Cuba, and the movie came up with a half-arsed explanation for the Chinese being there. That character is completely out-of-place in the story. That role should have been a latina.

I knew this movie would be garbage. I told Kuno to wait and go see talladega nights but NOOOO. This movie was so damn boring and so many unnecessary boring emo scenes i felt like walking out of the movie theater.

I did notice that when I went to central america. She was asian in the movie. Not sure if she is mixed tho.

most of the asians in argentina are coreanos. i have relatives in the dominican republic and puerto rico. the one in PR owns a chinese restaurant and the one in the dominican republic is this really rich guy that owns a huge rattan manufacturing company.
I've always wanted to go to Brazil, came pretty close when I was in the military. We almost had our travel and leave stuff set, but our commander shut us down. Honestly, Brazilian chicks are the hottest in the world.
