no, i haven't tasted any of those yet! hehe but i did try "jumping salad" once. it's mixing vinegar with live prawns.. they go jumping that's why it's called a jumpin salad.

the girl in the pic? she's katherine.. she's sort of an uhm, crush from another college here in cebu. anyway, she's not my gf though.. my gf's way beautiful! embarassedlaugh.gif

Its actually the opposite its TOO EXOTIC lol... i mean think about it as dinuguan? kare kare? do u think these dishes look appealing to the western eye?

well the thing is that our food dosent "Look" good to white people, but what they dont know it Tastes good once they try it

ive tasted dog meat once... i cant really remember what it tasted like since i was only a little kid... like 7-8 yrs old... it was caldaretang aso btw

I have not tasted dog but i have seen dishes that have been cooked with Dog's meat

Eating dogs was passed by merchants from Vietnamese, Chinese, and other Asians that goes to Philippines before the colianial days.

As for me, i never eaten a dog.

Eating dogs and even cats saved thousands of lives during the closing days of the second world war in Manila were food was scarce . This was according to one book "Sword and Fire" published in 1995

I think the blandness of Filipino food is what makes it so exotic. It just shows how indepent we have always been from the major cultural influences of Asia (ie, India and China). Plus, Indian food wouldn't even be spicy if it weren't for the Europeans to introduce the chili pepper from America.
