Hey all!

I was browsing youtube.com tonight, looking to see if there were any new music videos by everyone's favourite bad girl Koda Kumi. What I came across was something a little more disturbing...or at least it was distrubing to me.
I saw a FOUR YEAR OLD girl on stage gyrating to Koda Kumi's "Cutie Honey" . I'm a big fan of the song, but not so much a fan of the effect it seems to be having on VERY young Japanese girls.

I just wanted to know if anyone else is disturbed by this video and also if anyone thinks Koda Kumi is a good role model...

I'm not looking for a debate, I just wanna know what other ppl. think about this. If this has already been posted, let me know, other than that, lets hear what ppl. have to say.

you have no idea how creepy i found that to be. possibly b/c it reminds me of that other weird video someone posted of a person with a skin problem dancing around and it looked like a marionet doll. hrm

i've seen only three or four of her music videos, and i'm neither a fan of her music nor the way how she chooses to portray herself. but it disturbing to hear that a 4 yr old child would gyrate to her tunes, yikes. so in conclusion, i would say that she isn't such a good role model. but sex sells unfortunately, so...

It's a very different type of mentality in Japan. I can't even find words to explain it, it's just very different from what we see here in western culture. Morning Musume and the whole Hello! Project is young girls singing and dancing more towards an older generation of men. But it's kind of the young princess/warrior complex which still goes around in Japan even though it was given up a long time ago.
