Israeli soldiers disguised as Palestinians kill man in cafe

Israel carried out an assassination Monday of a Fatah militant in the West Bank city of Ramallah.
According to Israeli media a force of undercover Israeli soldiers dressed up as Palestinians drove through the city in a civilian car. As they approached a cafe, "where Alla a-Rabi, 24, was sitting, they opened fire and killed him on the spot," reported Haaretz newspaper.
The Israeli army killed three Palestinians on Tuesday in Gaza City, at least one of them a militant, Haaretz reported. Three others were wounded, all of them children.
The army said the three men killed were militants.
Palestinian witnesses said one Palestinian was killed in the Shajaiyeh neighborhood in Gaza City when a drone fired a missile at a group of militants. Palestinians also said troops had shot and wounded two other men in the raid in Gaza. The army said it was checking the report.
The army said a tank fired a shell at a group of Palestinians laying wire on the ground near Israeli soldiers. A third Palestinian was killed in the same area by a sniper. The Israeli army confirmed shooting that man, and said he was also trying to plant a bomb.
The army has been carrying out a raid near the neighborhood, which borders Israel, since Saturday night.
Meantime Israeli Police on Tuesday morning killed two wanted militants in a refugee camp near the West Bank city of Nablus, Israel Radio reported.
A special police unit raided a house at the Balata refugee camp where the two Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades militants were hiding. The purpose of the raid was to arrest the militants, but, according to the police, they opened fire and were killed.
The Palestinian gunmen, Hani al-Hashash and Ibrahim Neba, were killed in the gunbattle that ensued, and two fighters sustained very light wounds.
The police force left the refugee camp safely, the radio said.
On Sunday, Israeli army troops killed a 64-year-old man in Jenin, it was released for publication Monday.
Palestinian sources told Haaretz Sabri Khalil worked as a night watchman at a local school. After he shined his flashlight on a passing car, soldiers patrolling the city shot him in the chest, killing him.
The army confirmed that soldiers shot a Palestinian standing on a rooftop, saying he had apparently been holding a weapon at the time. An army spokesman said that in retrospect, it appears that the man was holding a flashlight.
The army is investigating the incident, reported Haaretz.
