I had a guy in my family get the microfracture surgery where they prick fractures and let the blood seap into the knee cavity to form new cartilidge.

Right acl and medial meniscus. Ouch it hurt. Had it replaced with a cadaver ligiment. I was runing again in 6.5 weeks but only half speed. Then after about 12 weeks as good as new.
Be prepared for some initial hurt. Be religous with the physical theropy. I was out of work for 6 weeks but could have been back in 4 I think. This was done in 1998.

Yes, Amare Stoudamire had that surgery done a year ago and as you can see it takes time to heal properly. They cut open the knee and puncture 2 small holes in the upper adjacent bone and as blood drains into the knee it compounds and grows into a new cartilidge.

I have 0 issues with it. I ride bike, I run etc. Do the physical theropy like its your life depending on it......
It pays in dividends. My leg shrank a lot at first. It came back tho. 2 weeks? fu-k that. I work on concrete floors for 12.5 hour shifts. 2 weeks mine wasn't killer pain but it let me know who the boss was . If I can be of help let me know . I did alot of stretching excercises and flexing that first 4 weeks.

not a problem.
#1 excercise and most important.........
straighten leg as far as it can go straight. pull toes towards your knee like your stretching your calf muscle. Lift leg 6 inches and hold. at first for a 10 count.

nah I work in a paper mill

hahaha man... that excersis def. helps. i just tried it...

haha this is so trippy i set up the computer right next to my bed, and it feels like i am getting live instructions from an internet trainer... hahahaha

crap can't lift leg 6 inches yet cus of the strain, but yeah the straightening and toe pulling.... i can feel myself healing already... muahahaha

thank you sir!

this excersise prevents your leg from healing with a slight bend.... By this I mean the inability to lock out in the straight 0 degree position. atrophy .... Use a towel at first to help support your leg and in time your leg will build up to it. Only do it until you feel discomfort. ( Not @$$ knotting pain) .
ThreeKingdoms
^ yeah. i forgot about that towel... wow i didn't know it would heal with a slight bend otherwise...

yeah i totally see what u mean Mr. Tinman, i need to do this like my life depended on it...............*grimaces*

i owe you one!!!!!!!

if i remember correcly u said a while back u live in florida right? remember some discussion about state federal taxes... God bless Florida! lolz

Nah were cool. Freind of mine was lazy and guess what? he walks arould like 1 leg is shorter than the other. Guess why? because it is due to the bend. LOL beerchug.gif
Later maybe 5 or 6 days after surgery lay on your back on the floor. Gently pull your heal towards your butt. Hold for 10 count.
same excercise while sitting in a chair now.
also flex your quads.while sitting. bring blood to your quads it helps them to recover from the trama

Biggest injury I've ever gotten was jamming my finger in basketball. I'm pretty much unbreakable.
ThreeKingdoms
^ thanks haha...

i got this injury playing softball, i bumped knees with another players knees...

the only time i broke a bone was when i fell off a 20 foot deep gulley in Lake Tahoe at Squaw. I was in out of boundary back country and I was going fast in crystal powder and BAM! i fell into a gulley, and smashed against a wall of rock on the way down... i was pretty lucky to have broken just one bone at the time... it was in my front foot... all i remember was after i hit the rocks, fell, and landed in teh snow i thought " yesssss... im alive" haha never going to squaw again. sure.gif

Well I did get knocked the fu-k out when some Native Canadian American or whatever broke a bottle over my head, but I didn't sustain any injuries except for a cut that turned into a ball spot. But yeah when I'm sober I'm pretty much unbreakable. Those Native Canadian American fu-kers fight more dirty than Arabs.

Is that what they refer to the 1s in Canada? Native Canadians?
jiggyiggy
I have no clue, I'm not Canadian, but I've heard them be called from everything to First Nations Canadians, Native North American, and just plain old Indians(which is very inaccurate). They have some major alcohol, drug, and temper issues, least all the ones I ran into. Whenever there was a fight at a club you could bet money that there were some of them were involved in it. They fight dirty as hell too and always look for excuses for them. They are quite possibly the most degenerate people on earth.
