Many Filipinos claiming Spanish descent are like White Americans claiming they're part native American.
Hahaha! Bingo! Galing mo ah

Why cant some filipinos just disregard blood lines huh?
So what exactly is your ethnicity? Half Filipino/Half Spanish? Or just part Spanish? If so, in what amount? 1/4, 1/8, 1/16? What?

My fellow Filipinos, why are some of us racist against other filipinos because their Spanish descent? Come on guys! We dont live in 1898 anymore! The Filipino race is a product of centuries worth of mixing. I beleive some Filipinos only consider u a Filipino if your of typical Malay stock. I beleive that is wrong just because a Filipino looks Chinese, Spanish or Pacific Islander doesnt mean their not real Filipinos! Im gonna say it again the Filipino race is a product of centuries of mixing. Filipinos come in different shapes, colors and sizes. You other Filipinos should stop hating on other Filipinos because of their looks or descent. We are all Filipinos! Any may i add, we should stop having an identity crisis F*&%!!!!!!!!!
Pacific Islanders bare a striking resemblance to Filipinos. It is actually being debated on whether Filipinos should be considered Asian or Pacific Islander. So I don't know why you are using that as a distinction here.
Have you lived in the Philippines? Have you ever been to the Philippines? If you have then maybe you are already familiar with the 1000000000+ varieties of whitening soaps, lotions and whatever commodities that line the shelves at the stores.
Have you ever watched Filipino shows or read Filipino magazines? You will notice that nearly half of our celebrities/models/talents/singers don't have Filipino last names. Why do you think this is happening? Because the colonial mentality is still very much alive in the Philippines.
You clearly started this thread to either signify that you have "other blood" but by doing so in a less glamorous way. Oh, boohoo look at me I'm a mistreated unpure Filipino, why can't my brothers accept me as I am?
You won't get any sympathy from people here because the Spanish/Mestizo to Filipino racism count overwhelms the vice versa. For every 1 Spanish-descent Filipino that is prejudiced there are 100000000 Pure Filipinos that are prejudiced by conceited Spanish/Filipino or any half-breed Filipino out there. Think with consideration to the MAJORITY.
