Ok, nobody answer to this thread!!
But I'd like you know my first experience to Far East Film Festival,
was thr 5th edition, and I was present to the last day!!
Fantastic, in a very short space of time it has achieved its main aim in becoming a unique event which is a reference point throughout Europe and West for the Asiatic cinema industry.
unfortunatly the festival has been opened under the cloud of a serious problem, the SARS, has forced us to renounce some of the characteristicelemnts of this festival, namely, the chance to meet and talk to some of the memebers of the industryan opportunity which will be greatly missed.
It has been a very excited experience, I've seen 4 movies:
- "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance"- Korea 2002
Violent, intricate, pessimistic, shocking Korean noir by the same
autor of JSA...
- "Where have all the flowers gone" - China 1999
Gao Xiaosong, coming from a music video and ads beckground,
shows his expertise in thi "oniric" love storywith rich and fascinating
scenes!!
- "PTU" - Honk Kong - 2003
Full of atmosphere and magnetism, takes place in HK at night: no
neon lights, no people, the land of policeman. They obey their code
of honour endangered by a series of weakness and compromises.
Very very Beautiful!!!
- "Bet on my disco" - Korea 2002
An extremly amusing comedy on nostalgia.
very nice!!
Besides, I could buy the DVD of "The mission" of Johnnie To!!
I'm very very satisfied, I'm hope to be present next year!!!
And now.....
I beg you to say something...
Hi guy!
