My friend is new to Indian Entertainment and he just started dating this Indian girl and he doesn't want to feel like a complete ignoramus when it comes to Indian Entertainment culture. And he was wondering what Bollywood movies are good. And what Indian music artists are too. What do you fellow AF Indians recommend?

fiza is a good first movie to watch. it has elements of romance, danger, family, patriotism, ect.



black is an excellent movie on the adaptation of helen keller's life.



devdas is perfection as far as hindi cinema goes. beautiful story, cinematography, and superb acting.



u might also wanna check out gadar, company, and chandni bar... if u want more realism.

Just be yourself, pretending to know about Bollywood probably isn't gonna help you and for all you know, she might not even care about Bollywood.

theres so many to choose from. another good movie for bollywood beginers is Dil Chata Hai. this one is pretty modern & contemporary. as for musical artists, id recommend stereo nation, raghav, adnan sami, bombay vikings, ect.

not so sure about that, from what he tells me, she's bollywood crazy.

Watch the 1989 Mahabharat Series. It was so popular that people across India stopped working to watch it.

Yeah, I remember watching it as a kid, classic stuff, but so very, very, very, very loooooooong lol.

Yeah, it was the same with Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan Series.

I was in India when that was going on, and it was immensly popular. One time while I was at the doctor's office, the clock struck five and the doctor just left in the middle of my check-up to watch Ramayan on Doordarshan (or whichever channel it was)......
