*sigh* i just finished saikano..it was...so awesome! lol....anyways i thought it was really good, one of the best animes i've ever seen...it got kind of boring at first, like the first or so few eps, but after that it was interesting, and i'd never would've guessed the ending! *sigh* i'm STILL thinking about the ending!! after watching the anime, i kept thinking about it so much, its crazy....if you haven't seen it you should see, only 13 eps so not long like love hina, full metal alchemist, etc.... what are your opinions about saikano....

anyways the only 2 animes that i've seen so far that i REALLY REALLY liked and would watch it again is Saikano and Elfen Lied..they are heart movers to the extreme....so...do you guys know any anime that's like this? sometimes i find myself starting an anime series and never finishing it...haven't watched a really good until saikano, and i hope to watch more very good ones too...so any VERY good anime recommendations? thanks...

a recomendation honey and clover i absolutly love it...higurashi also is a dope anime... if you like saikano i bet youll like AIR id almost cried while watching that lol theres a ton more thats good lols

if you liked it that much, then you would probably enjoy AIR TV and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien. they're kinda similar and they aren't that long as well. both of em have 13 episodes each(i think)

This anime wasn't as good as the others, it was kinda boring and it had something missing in it that would have made it better. Elfen Lied and Kimi Ga Nozomu Eien are better than this anime.

You should watch Grave of the Fireflies. It's also a depressing anime but it's very meaningful.

There was much more that could've been done to make Saikano better.
I always thought that they should've made Chise a less naive person, and someone with a more pessimistic view of the world, as that could be the reason why she decided to give up her body to become JDF's experimental weapon. And what's with the whole thing about sex? I thought that was just retarded. Too many things that just didn't add up in that anime.
Elfen Lied on the other hand totally kicked @ss.
Shingetsutan Tsukihime was also a great series

Shingetsutan gets attacked by Tsukihime fans all the time. I can kind of see why, even though I think they're overly harsh with 13 episode anime that was pretty much accurate to the Arcueid True Ending. Tsukihime manga kicks @$$ though, if you can find it.

i love Tsukihime... too bad theyre not making different endings or Melty Blood in anime..

I really like Shingetsutan too.

Also Last Exile and Samurai 7 are really worth watching too.
