I'll be a bit more specific about which type of religious missionary; Mormons from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They seem to enjoy targetting Asians for some reason. Every time I look around I see this well-dressed smooth talker having a conversation with an Asian who obviously doesn't know much English. One time I saw one of the mormons and this Chinese guy both speaking fluent Mandarin. The guy was better than me at Mandarin. One approached me last year and asked me if I knew what the bible was. Well, considering I'm catholic I seriously hope so... but I was fascinated with his paossible answer so I sid no. It was funny, but that's besides the point. And then I've had a couple of them give me looks while I was walking in the hall, as if they were about to approach me as well, but I'd just walk away. I might LOOK foreign, naive and innocent but I'm definately not...

Has this ever happened to you? I saw them in Hong Kong as well going to a small fishing village. Leave them alone! Poor innocent villagers... Next time one of them asks me if I know what the bible is I'll look at them confused and say in a thick Chinese accent, "book wit naked white woman?"

Yes, plenty of times. We have them all over downtown Atlanta. There are some that hang around the Bristol bus station in TN...lol I think Jehovah witnesses are more annoying.

I've had experiences with Jehovah's Witness. I usually just close the door in their face as soon as they start talking. heheheheheehe

i usually tell them i'm muslim. DON'T EVER TELL MORMONS YOU DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH, because there will be one of them that have a guy somewhere in the area that can speak that language you said you speak.

yes. i was working across the street one time, and this Jehovah's Witness guy just came up and gave me a pamplet. I never read it, didn't have time.

This other time, a friend of mine(he's baptist) and i (i'm catholic) were walking, and these two guys came up to us, all dresssed up. they assumed we non christians, being asian, so they were like "do you know what baptism is .... rebirth of ect.." on and on and on. then he said something wrong (according to me), so i told him that i have been paying attention in sunday school. shut him up real good.

then afterward, i called home real fast (which was only 2 houses down) and told my mom not to open the door.

Just wear a turbine that looks authentic and as soon as they open the door recite some 'Jihad' scriptures and hold a plastic bazooka with lights and whistles going off. They will never bother you again

my last one was hardcore. he offered to give me a trip to heaven, in return i would have to kneel and repent.

that was nice but, i was in full military uniform and on a military base with like 200 people around me.

and i every attmept for escape was cornered by various tatics. but i think it was mostly because i didnt want to walk away. ive walked away from drugs and all; btw im drug free; but this was hard.

My friend's mom raised her voice and yelled at me "IF YOU DON'T BELIEVE IN JESUS YOU WILL GO TO HELL" because I told her I'm a Buddhist. Now everyone in the community thinks she's a crazy woman. She only converted to Christianity because it's a "white people" religion anyways. Tells her daughter to only date white guys and dye her hair yellow to be more white. What a c_nt. Makes Chinese people look REEAAAAL bad.

There was a story in Aust where some Jehovas Witnesses from America were evangilising. This guy invited them in and offered them some cookies, they accepted willingly and knocked off some of these cookies while trying to convert him. What they weren't aware of was that these were hash cookies and they spent the next few hours in Casualty beeing completely off their tree. Unfortunately the follow up to the story is that this guy was charged with assault and was sentenced to jail.

Instead of them handing me a phamplet, I try to hand them a buddhist book! muahahya...the Jehovah's Witness i met better think twice before trying to convert me.

I've had a few Christian missionaries knock on my door before. Although I rejected them, they were nice folks.

Argh I used to always bump into them when im in town (or they stalk me?) ...I dunno, they always ask whether I can speak mandarin or not...I run away when I see them lol.
