My mom is very critical with looks. So, mostly everyone is an ugly arse to her.

whites on average are better looking. asians look all fatigued and $hit all the time. FOBs love the white skin, that why ugly white dudes hit on fobs cause its the only chance they get.
well thank god my parents go agianst stereotype because they are more critical on physical features of whites and Asians. White people are all weasles to them and when it comes to Asians, they better be pretty and natural without squinty eyes or over the top plastic surgery face.
Common theory:
asian people who want to fit in, put higher value to having some white trophy gf/bf/etc
shows domination over the white race

A lot of SE asians I know are very critical...
In the movies, the main character always specifically falls in love with the most beautiful character.
And if the casting is not right, even newspapers will criticize the female lead for not being beautiful enough.

same thing for me, my dad kept trying me to get with this nerdy looking roommate i had. on a scale of 1-10, he was like 4 if i'm being honest. and that's discounting his personality which really made him like a 2.

How else can a parent enjoy parenthood if they can't buy weirdly mismatched clothes or recommend the creepy guy as good marriage material?
jk. My mom's clothes are ok in the western sense, but when it comes to traditional clothes, she really knows her stuff. I had to tone down the outfits myself....not like I needed 50 creepy guys trying to talk to me!
