This story makes my stomach churn, it's absolutely horrible. It reminds me of those poor little boys in Noli Me Tangera who were killed by the spanish friars. They were only ten and twelve years old.
The general consensus is that Richard III killed them. Who agrees?

No one knows for sure but it would have benefitted Richard if the princes weren't around. Who else would have benefitted do not know. They had that on one of the cable channels on UK haunting. The two princes are suppose to be haunting the tower. Supposedly, they still are there in one of the walls.

I don't really have a definitive answer to that, however, I read a book titled "The Daughter of Time," by Josephine Fey on the topic, and it was really rather good.
I'd recommend it.

i don't think it's an old trick...i think everytime a king pass away scramble for power occurs. killing your nephews, brothers, even father wasn't uncommon.
i've watched al pacino's rendition of richard III (shakespeare) it was pretty good.
