when the fuk did this happen! my friends and i today were chylling in the south parking lot and some popo comes up and says we cant smoke here. we're like 'dude, we've been here for 3 years'. and hes like 'theres a new law passed, you cant smoke in public places, the school is publicly owned, you gota go somehwere else'.

if that cop was lying! nah, but someone else may or may not have mentioned it on the announcements that i dont pay attention too...

anyway, when did Canada pass such a bogus law!?!?

but my school has this stairwell where around 15 people smoke in between periods, and once the police came and tried to get rid of them all, but one of our VPs stood up for them. it was amazing.

i was just thinking that the police are REALLY running out of things to harass us for.

lol your VPs are cool. ours dont give a shyt. police are ALWAYS here now to enforce this stupid law. some bs about, if government owned shyt cant follow the rules, how do they expect others too.

im not clear on the rules though, which is why this thread is here. does it mean if we step a couple meters back off to the field its off school property? or do we have to leave the school literally?

our school only care if its on school grounds...lol....lotta peeps just cross the street to smoke...lol

anyways, the kids at my school smoke at a park beside our school...which is technically a public place right? lol

oh it's for canada as whole? i thought they only implied it here in quebec hehe.. well its good in a way coz at my school smokers used to always smoke beside the exit doors and it stinks =..= they always spit also so walking out of school is.... lol
with this law passed i noticed the smokers are coming out more on the streets and streets are being filled by cigarrette butts =.=
in restaurants, it's more comfortable now to eat now that u dont have to worry about inhaling smoke while chewing.
i know this law isn't fair for the smokers but its all for the better, right?

HA! the Canadians have the same New York laws. All smoking shouldn't be done in public places. It's good for the non-smokers out there.
