Well she's much fairer than most Indians and just has that northern look I guess. Plus, her features are slightly more East Asian if you know what I mean. Like maybe a Northeast Indian-ish or Nepalese or something.

There are certain groups in South India and West India that are reputed for being very fair. Gomeny's people are a good example.

Lots of North Indians are dark too. Having fair skin isn't just a North Indian thing.

on chitpavan.com joshi was written as a Chitpavan surname and people on the internet are discussing her as a marathi. But there are lots of people that claim that she has said she's a gujarati in her interviews

Haha I don't know.....But, Joshi is a typical Brahmin last name found in other parts of India. I checked that chitpavan wikipedia list of last names, and some of their last names are used by other Brahmins.

She's not Indian but she could pass for one.
