nice dress!

but I hate those disproportional eyes.

What's with people's affection to big eyes?
StephenDedalusFromAsia
Dolls need to have big eyes I guess, regardless of ethnicity.

well....Tang dynasty is considered as a high point of Chinese civilization in terms of cultural development, architecture, military power, economic power, arts, science, trade, and everything. It was an incredibly diverse dynasty with ton of foreginers living in China. i.e Persian, Indians, Arabs, Silla(koreans), Japanese, central Asians........It's sort like today's USA. It's a very open and outward dynasty. Japan and Korea got most of Chinese influence during Chinese Tang dynasty in terms of arts, literature, architecture, culture, political system and pretty much everything else. Japanese kimono and Korean Hanbok got many Tang dynsaty influence. Specially the kimono. So you see the similarity between Tang dynasty dress and Japanese kimono.

A korean doll would fit that role better.

sounds like the word ' tongue ' in english

The ones the thread starter posted are actually Super dollfies, a type of Japanese doll that is modeled after the anime look. For more information, Wikipedia. I used to be obsessed over collecting their photos. They're really, really expensive as well, but there are lots of people out there who are willing to pay thousands just to get them. The clothing they're wearing right now though, they are ancient Chinese clothing, yes.

This one is so beautiful...I just love the way the artist capture a doll's moment. So innocene but, what drawn me to this particular one is how neat the artist did her hair.
