My mother was born in Hefei. I was born in NYC. I note that I was conceived in Shanghai and born only two weeks after my parents reached the USA.

Im first generation, but my relatives did come here to work on the rail road and gold mines earlier, but they returned to China, some returned back in the 1920's & 1930's
