FIFA To Help Vietnam Develop Women Football

HANOI, Sept 26 (Bernama) -- The International Football Federation (FIFA) has planned to increase investment in women's football of Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar in the future, Vietnam news agency (VNA) reported quoting an official as saying.

The official from the Asian Football Federation (AFF) said the plan was put forward to develop further and reach the regional level in women's football.

This plan was revealed at a FIFA-sponsored seminar recently held in Manila, Philippines on the development of women's football in Southeast Asia.

FIFA will sent its missions to these countries to review their women's football situation in order to map out proper supporting measures, VNA quoted her as saying.

Fifa has made helping developing nations with their football programs one of their top agendas. i remember an article saying that fifa was helping small nations like vietnam, thailand, etc with updating stadiums. Fifa was specific in helping the 4 southeast asian countries that will host the Asian Cup next year.
