Your own personal observations does not make you qualified for making your assumptions valid. Filipinos consider themselfs brown because compared to Koreans, Chinese and Japanese, Filipinos are brown. Yes, some do want to be brown because they feel more exotic and some don't. Some simply ARE brown, as the case with my mom and perhaps 90% of friends and my Filipinos friends, not brown as Negriots or Aetas but browner than Chinese, Koreans and Japanese.
Some Filipinos are brown some are pale some are yellow. Some Filipinos are brown as Cambodians, some are yellow as Chinese. Some Chinese are brown some are yellow some Japanese are pale some are yellow some are brown. Negritos and Aetas are black/brown, Tsinoys might be yellow or brown, malaysian filipinos might be brown or yellow.

I could cut it out in paper make flyers and drop em over Asia, just in case other mainland Asian feel the urge. So why pretend to be right, is it because mainland asians have a problem about brown Filipinos?
