Hello. I'm interested in Japanese slang and am doing research on Japanese slang.

What are Japanese slang terms for:

tough female, besides sukeban, otemba, yanki, and Ofukuro gyaru?

Please let me know. Thank you. biggrin.gif

im not sure if this is a yakuza only thing, but

~Ai > ~ee exp. Hai means yes, but when you say ee, it means yeah ..

another one is Urusai shut up (lit. annoying/noisy) Urusee ..

hmmm...i guess that's all i can tell you now, the others are just either too casual, or i dont feel it should be used by those who dont know the difference between casual/polite speech

I know some Japanese vocabulary words, if that's what you mean.

Is there such a thing as Japanese playground slang?

What other terms do they use that mean "tough female"?
What is a Kusonasu?

When I stated I'm interested in Japanese slang, I meant I'm interested in knowing what slang is used for the terms I posted. I'm interested in knowing what slang terms are used in Japanese that mean "Tough female". Can someone please list Japanese slang synonyms that mean "tough female"?

For example, I know "asoko" is slang for female, so is there such a term as "tsuee asoko"?

Goombaking209, you didn't answer the question-can urasee and urasai be used as nouns?
Mavericker
tough femlae-what about a "kogal"?

Do you know any slang terms that mean "bold foward girl", "tomboy", " a girl that likes to fight"?
Suren911
kogal = kogyaru

like i said i don't really call names. if i wanted to insult somebody, it'd be "busu" which is like the ultimate insult to a girl, it means you're butt ugly. "busu" is short for "busaiku" meaning ugly.

If I wanted to say some girl was real bold and manly, i'd just describe her as "otokoppoi" or annoying/perverted as "iyarashii"
Goombaking209
you're starting to sound like iwark (a big troll that likes to go to japanese "learning" websites)

anywho, is this for a school project of some kind?

I'm writing a comic book, and I'm interested in Usuing Japanese slang terms.
I'm interested in using slang, cant and jargon that is used in the US and in other countries. I want to use slang nouns for my characters.

Here's a list of the Japanese I know:
I know a Sukeban is a term for a girl leader of a gang, and in some contexts a delinquent girl.
An otemba is slang for an unruly woman.
A yanki is a female tough or a female gangster.
Ofukuro gyaru is a bold assertive girl, (lit. mom-girl)
A brat in Japanese slang is a gaku, or warugaku.
Dragons are called tatsz, tatsu, doragon, ryu, and ryuu (slang)
neko is cat-nekio is slang for cat
inu is dog
Tough guys in slang are called tufagaro, tsuee yatsu, senkou, tafunayatsu, tegawai yatsu, Gekitsuyoino, yabai-yatsu, tsuwamono, "kyo-sha" (strong one).

What is the Japanese slang word for girl? Could i substitute this word for "yatsu' in the terms above?
Mavericker
Does anyone know any other slang terms that commonly mean "tough guy", other than the ones I posted?

Also, does anyone know any slang terms that mean "punk" or "juvenile delinquent"?

Mavericker
Do they call brave, hardy men/males in Japanese slang or in figurative Japanese language "dragons"?
Mavericker
Suren911-you speak both Chinese and Japanese?

Goombaking, are you there?
Mavericker
Suren911, can you please help me out?
Mavericker
Does anyone know any tough guy slang?
