Holy crap i've heard lots of stories about the fanfare when Mao and Stalin died but damn it's crazy, Everybodies crying and there's no rational whatsoever.

There were North Korean cheerleaders (or KJI's personal prostitutes, whicever you prefer) who cried when they saw a picture of KJI getting wet in the rain. Their tears are cheap, dirt cheap.

I think Chinese people got emotional when Zhou enlai died but Mao tze dong wasn't really huge.

i wonder how many are fake cry. I've heard stories when mao died, people cried because they have to show their affection to the great leader, but their cries are just insincere, many had to squeeze really hard to get some tears.

Considering that Mao Zedong's tomb is still frequently packed today, I wouldn't doubt it. Zhou Enlai was simply not as big as Mao was.

Zhou enlai's funeral was bigger than mao and most people felt sympathy. Mao might have been a bigger authoritative leader but the people felt more towards zhou enlai. Many people got mad when the CCP told them they couldn't gather to pay respects to zhou enlai at tianamen square. The CCP also got rid of all the flowers the 2nd day!

If people didn't cry at Kim's funeral it was off to the gulag for them.
