Yeah. It wasn't their fault, and if I loved that person and he was right for me..it shouldn't matter.
I have worked with clients at my intership that were trauma victims...So I'm prepared for that. -Don't forget you're talking to a future therapist here. thumbup I will be dealing with traumas everyday!
It's actually worse for men...even in the Mukhtar Mai case people have forgotten her then 12-year old brother who was first sodomized by the gang of upper-caste Muslims.
I remember in the early 90's a case where two or three teenaged Kashmiri boys were brutally raped by the Pathan commander of a terrorist camp in pakistan. Sent back to their homes to act as porters for terrorists, these boys were eventually rescued by the Indian Army.
It was shown on TV. They were so traumatized that they revealed their horror story to their rescuers and the story leaked to the media. One of the parents said about his raped son, "
His life is finished. Who will marry him now?"
And they were right.
The comments from people about these now grown-up men are appalling:
"
He has lost his manhood."
"
How could he let himself be raped? Is he gay?"
"
If he can't protect himself, how will he protect my daughter?"
So what I was trying to say was that hypocrisy about rape, virginity, and manhood cuts across gender lines.
In my list of important things I forgot to add the
most important....HEALTH!
After all, in order to engage in sexual calisthenics with sluts I will need to be in peak physical condition.
Oops....I did it again!
