We watch tv on our cells, go on the internet, chat, listen to music, record messages, take pictures, take movies, and oh yeah, call people.
Most people don't have a computer in Japan. It's too expensive. But those who do probably use MSN messenger. There is a Japanese version.

One of my Japanese translators use MSN Messenger to communicate with me. I did talk to some Japanese through MSN Messenger.

We have video cell phones now too, but the thing is most people don't have all the expensive features. The average Joe in Japan only has the camera besides the usual internet/mail features.
I've only seen a couple people using video phone and watching tv.

oh too bad it wasn't so super high tech like you do everything on the phone .. i would have liked that actully :>
One thing, do they have like an MSN or ICQ program in their cell phones that gos with the Operating System where to include ? or do they only use like sending SMS ? if they had like chatboards on the phone it be quite nice .. as for the internet .. how da hell do they surf on those small things .. sure if there is some special sites build for smaller phones ... does it comprimise everything .. Does Japan got like 4G as what my friend told me ? .. we just got 3G

We don't do instant messaging on our phone in your sense. We just use the mail. But since everyone is always with their phone, it's almost the same as instant messaging.
There are tons of phone sites in Japan. You can visit regular internet sites on the phone but it takes a lot longer to load and you have to do a lot of scrolling to see everything.

Yeah i just flipped over some sites, and compared to you we get like 10 phones a year, but you proberly have gotten over a thousand various species of phones :P .. anyway watch tv from the phone ? we got some new we can get down but it cost like 50 yen in your cash for like 5 min and we got only 19mb to put in our phones, i can only put in several Mp3's or a episode of from a tv or something. Cheers!

I don't mean download episodes of tv. I meant just watching streaming of what's on tv at the moment. So if you're on the train and you're missing an important soccer match, you can watch it on your phone.

Does it cost something to watch the streaming, if not it would be great and still great if you paid something a month for it. Here it's totally sux
