Im just wondering whats with koreans and war...

I mean we talk of pains and suffering...

Yet older generations of koreans tend to enjoy and want a war in the most weirdest ways... is it just part of our culture?... or are people feeling the itches?... i dont remember half century of peace in the peninsula in history up until now, theres always have been conflict and outbreaks... is it our personality or psychology?... when there is peace theirs always internal problems... too much hong gil ddongs!... what do we do now?...

In some ways we all know that soon enough USA's going to collapse, in terms of stablising world peace... people tend to think it is cause of america we have peace and prosperity? if so why is there so much dying in the world if they have contributed so much to peace and then go wage war on afghanistan and iraq... i mean people in africa are starving to death, and since the beginning of time i dont think their was a single year of peace on earth...

It just looks like a giant chess board, its war after war after war, in seperate parts of the world of course but still its constant never ending cycle... one region gets a go, then moves on to the next, its like the UN secretary general position, they all seem to get goes... i just reckon history is going to repeat itself again... we're going to have one fanatical nut case of a country with another insane leader and cause another holocaust/genocide whatever it maybe but i do know one thing im pretty sure of, its going to be pretty soon and korea seems like the next flag bearer... well who knows japan might come up again... maybe china might fall in to pieces again, mind u there has been many cases of civil unrest there...

well i would like some ur opinions so feel free to drop me a line, cause i want some intelligent people sharing their views of things and how they think the worlds revolving... cause this peace between nations wont last forever...

u really are naive if u ignore the rest of korean history and its amibition of conquest towards the west to china.. and during hubaekjae's existance it regarded japan as its own land or a vassal state..

you havent even heard of things directly from the older generations which i have experienced and endured first hand of their hours of war mongering...

you are a complete idiot to think anyone would enjoy a damn civil war... so are u saying the japanese people enjoyed their civil wars?...

the only thing stupid and idiotic of myself is that i choose not to ignore what happens around me and what people happen to think, i always keep an open mind and but closed to cheerleaders like handydandy who has nothing better to say but call people names... i do not deny your views in whatever i have stated Ino_II, but u urself can not determine or speak the views for all korean people... if you didnt notice korean and japanese people are much alike, except how we express our feelings are much different, even if a korean is outspoken do u truly think he/she will speak freely without limits?...

its just that i noticed koreans have always waited for the right time, when they have the upper hand to strike but they always have had those thoughts in their minds, that is all....

dude, Koreans aernt any more blood lusting than any other nation. Each country has its dark moments. youre basically generalizing all koreans into being war mongers.

That's most likely because they were surrounded by larger, more powerful nations.

It seems like those times are few and far between. This seems to have given rise to the notion that Koreans are just very very peaceful people. I'd say that's bull. Like every country on Earth Korea would throw its weight around if it could.

To me Korea is like the Poland of East Asia icon_neutral.gif , always getting screwed with by their stronger neighbors. They were really being treated like a spot on a chess board that Japan, China and briefly Mongolia and Manchuria have been playing on for centuries. I suppose some would say the US and China are now playing on that board but whatever. icon_confused.gif
Being between two strong countries that hate each other must blow. icon_sad.gif

I hope this qualified as mildly intelligent commentary... it must have been better than just calling you an "idiot" at least, but maybe not. biggrin.gif

Whatever you think of the US, without the US the world would be a more chaotic place. There would be even more starvation and regional wars would be more frequent and more widespread if we weren't hanging around.

koreans have been in the middle of conflicts , i doubt its by choice but instead their location
