She actually asked NKs if they’d “seen American movies or western television”!!! “Do you know American is a very rich country?” “Is there anything good about America?” Even if she met a NK who didn’t buy all the propaganda it’s not like she’d actually get any real answers with her “translator” standing right there.

I don't want her to be there at all actually. No need whatsoever. Just do a real report on NK. If she really had an itch to talk to some NKs she could have stopped n SK and talked to some defectors who would be free to speak about the reality in NK. Wouldn't that be more useful and informative? I hardly ever get to hear anything from NK defectors and want to know what's actually going on in NK, not see some moron talk about how little NKs "with swords" were scared of the blonde lady.

Have you see the report? In one scene Sawyer is chasing little NKs around like a crazy person. Those kids'll probably go to school and tell all their friends that some crazy American witch was chasing them around. I can only imagine .

Woah there buddy, theres no need for that lol. It doesn't take a scientist to know that nk ain't going to speak up against the regime. Besides there are monitors that follow the reporters. Western journalists such as Diane sawyer know this. They are just observing the society from the outside.

The defectors will tell you how bad it was (Thus why they left), and the people there will say it's so great (Because they'll get killed if they don't).

It's probably impossible to get an honest opinion. Only if N.K. is invaded, then the people living there could tell of the truth.

Same thing during Saddam's Iraq. People living there could only say good. Defectors could only say bad. Once Saddam was taken out, you get a mixed reaction from people in the country.

This really reminds me of Dan Rather going to Iraq a little while before the invasion. ABC's basically serving as a conduit for NK to spread prop., disinformation, etc...
