In the world we live today, women are rising in career as well as everything that a man has achieved. In the same way, women demands to be treated equally.

I have experienced many of such thing....but when I treated women equally....likewise equally being scolded....people cautioned me that it will result in sexual harrassment to the opposite gender.

I am confused.....how is sexual harrassment is correctly defined and what are your experiences

When he stares at me with his dirty looks,goes on with his sex-related topics when I look obviously very uncomfortable with those conversations...Or when he praises my physical appearance(Like:u look great on that skirt.You have a pair of sexy legs.It would be great if I could feel the smoothness of them....) in a way that is found to be quite disturbing and causes me to feel the uneasiness.

Honestly, I dunno what do they term as sexual harrassment. recently I dealt with 2 japanese ladies on a project and I scolded them for asking too much and not considering the predicament of the project in totality. I wasnt and having any discriminative feeling against them but merely dealing in all aspect in the most professional way and yes of course, there is no vulgar words used. But what do I get?? 2 japanese ladies complained to my boss and my boss cautioned me by saying that I have to take into consideration that I cannot treat them like men. In japan, its considered sexual harassment and I tot to myself....WTF?

In the 2nd scene, I have several accounts clerk from the opposite gender. I have put up with all their mood swing and all that women thing that you need to be soft with them. But enough is enough when I ask for something important.....she boh chap like want to answer and dun want to answer to my important inquiry. Then I blew my top and cautioning her to re-act professionally....without any abuse of language of course....she got angry and complain to my boss of sexual harrassment. And again....WTF??

I actually don't know what to say -- I have never had a male colleague yell at me. If I had that encounter, I always think that a colleague no matter what ranking or seniority has no right to lose his temper and shout. I hate that sort of asian hierarchy where you have to angkat the boss no matter how wrong or right he/she is.

So, if you need to get some order and work from your colleagues, the essential thing you need from them in the long and short term is their co-ooperation. I would not alienate them by losing my temper and shouting, and hence lose their co-operation completely. That is the end of your working relationship and how corporations start to deteriorate as a team.

woman!! they defend their kind at all cost even though they know that its their fault and they tell us to be diplomatic when they themselves are crap...didnt I tell ya that I put up with all their mood swing and crap all this while.....and recently, my patience hit the limit

Anyway, fyi, I exercised due restrained from a full blown screwing when I scolded my female colleague.... and I have always been very patience with all of them and I can vouch that most of my subordinates work for me not because they have to but because they want to. That is team work and appropriate gesture and pat on the back is essential to put some encouragement to our staff.

We must caution them on their mistakes and we should also use appropriate scolding/cautioning method on each individual and there is always a need to remind them on who is actually the boss here.

We'll it might be your body language and the way you talk. Yes you claim that you did not use any abusive and insulting words but when a woman looks at your body language she can get the picture of what is going on in your mind.

I bet you were annoyed with their questioning and in your annoyance you might unconciously showed your body language that you were annoyed with their questioning and they are taking it as a threat.

You have to take account of your TONE of VOICE. Women are very sensitive to the way a man speaks. So be careful of the way you speak. Next time when you're scolding them make sure you do it in a different way. Do not scold them with a BOOMING voice instead just raise the pitch of your voice to tell them that you what you don't like about them.

Seriously mate you need to work on your communication skills. Women in general are hard to deal with and takes quite some time to understand them.
Sometimes I don't even get it. But after reading some online articles and getting insights I am working my way to understanding them better.

So what I am saying is make sure you're extra careful when presenting yourself infront of women and keep your temper in check then you'll reduce the number of complains in sexual harrestment.
