aww dude are u serious. Why out of all the korean singers this guy? he cant even speak english properly. bawling.gif omg. I hope it wont happen. Cuz honestly, koreans dont have such a great impression in America. But was slowly starting to get some recognition. I dont want a kpop singer just killing it for us. I know he really wants to do this, But omg i really hope he doesnt. I'm bein so serious right now. I really dont wanna do this. I have pride as a Korean-American. This guy is straight from Korea and he's not great of a singer and he has an accent in his english.

If you're going to have a korean singer to make an album in the US, you know that this is a hella big move for the koreans. Seven is not the best of Korea and never will be. They couldve got someone with superb singing abilities and good english such as Kim Jo Han or Ann. I know most dont know who Ann is. She is Korean-American singer from LA who made 2 albums in Korea. I recently listened to her and she is f*ckin insane in singing. She is like the alicia keyes, whitney houston, mary j blige, india arie of Korea. Yes, she is that good. She sings in so many styles as well. I would love to see her make an album in the US, cuz she would definitely blow all americans away who thought asians cant sing. But se7en will prove the americans of their stereotypes they already knew of. I am prepared to be embarrassed and ashamed. Cmon, its gotta be at least Kim Jo Han (the legendary r&b singer of Korea) or Ann (the most soulful artist of Korea). i was already embarrassed by Bi, Now Seven wants to do this crap too. bawling.gif

im sorry if i offended any seven fans. But i really care about the image of my people. You have to admit, Seven is not the best of Korea and he is far from it. You gotta make a wise decision on such a big move.

^It's true he doesn't have raw talent, but nowadays people with good looks and dance moves succeed.
bigboy
Thats true in korea. But most singers in america can actually sing. Also to have a korean make an album in the US, is a huge huge move. So what im sayin is, out of all the singers, did they have to choose seven? that guy will not impress anyone in the US. What does he have to offer? In the US, you realy gotta have skill. Plus in his performances, he's probably gonna do that nike crap like 5 times in the same song. Plus his English sucks. He cant even speak it. Thats like gettin Tae Jin Ah to make a rap album in the US featuring snoop dogg and jay-z.

I dont know why, but this situation is really gettin on my nerves. i mean is this a joke or what. i know im makin a big deal, but this is a big deal. So were expectin to see this guy's music videos on mtv and his performances and all that crap. And its obviously gonna suck. Cuz this guy is not fit to do music in the US. In korea he can, cuz they let frikkn anybody sing, even if you are mute. Someone i will be proud as a korean to see would be like Kim Jo Han or Ann. 2 things they got that seven doesnt have: they can sing and speak english. And when i say sing, im not talkin about bubblegum music. I'm sayin serious soulful powerful singing abilities. There are not too many talented singers in Korea. You gotta pick a singer out of these few good singers in Korea.

Koreans image in America is starting to get better especially in the sports. There really hasn't been any Koreans doing big in the music industry, or any. And having Seven to step in, just might put the Koreans down and mess up the Korean image. Koreans are on the start of bein recognized and i have been proud of it. I hope Seven's US album flops. Jesus, what are these people thinking. We already had william hung ruin it for the asians. Seven does not have to do that. Asians are looked down on the most when it comes to music and all that. And Seven will not change that, he will actually prove that. man i still dont understand why him.

Hey, i have Ann's first album, i didnt know she had a second one. But Ann is like the best singer i've heard in Korea. She really is like the Korean whitney houston now that i think about it haha.

Yeah, I know Seven is popular in Korea, but US isnt Korea lol. I think the Koreans are thinkin too much about the Korean wave and wanna spread it world wide. But I agree with Bigboy about this whole situation. Because America is like the biggest place for music, so there should be a lot of thinking about who should be the one to make an album here. I heard a couple of albums of him from a friend who made me listen lol. Ummm...he's not gonna get anywhere hahaha.
Tropicana
To be honest, I can't wait for Se7en to debut his english album next year. Hopefully him and Rain will brush-up on their english before their debut. With their success in Asia, I'm pretty sure the fans here in the U.S will make the two asian stars successful here as well. Either that, or just one will be successful. embarassedlaugh.gif It all comes down to the producers of their album, and the promotions.

Heck britney spears sucks, but she's like the top grossing girls. J.lo wasn't bad either, but she's sexy. I think it depends on the production of the albums, promotions and who has the connections.

well, i just cant wait for all the americans to laugh in our faces.

remember, seven is not just makin an english album. This guy is trying to make an album in the US. He wants to do music in the American music industry... Jesus Christ. What the hell is Seven thinking.......this is not helping the image of koreans in america. I am damn embarrassed. Cmon, we dont deserve this as koreans.

What im saying is this will be like one of the first approaches for a korean to make an approach to the major music industry. Why cant we get someone who can really blow everybody away. Ok, at least, "AT LEAST" someone who speaks english perfectly. And it would be even better with good singing.

Seven should just stay in Korea. I take this music thing very seriously. Also since we are talkin about a korean, even more seriously cuz koreans are underestimated like hell.

^ amen to that

I'm gettin tired of these people makin us asians look bad like william hung bawling.gif

I think I know what you mean, all these asian artist, from japan, china and taiwan tried to crossover, but see what happened? coco lee has a fabulous voice, so does utada. but they still didn't make it.

I mean if they chose him, they'll see if he makes it first. If he fails, so be it.
arrowshot
bigboy, i think i agree with you. se7en is not fit for the US market in many ways.

however, if there was one musical industry asians are good in, it's classical. i even heard the hands of asians have some sort of special bone or flexibility or something that helps the musicians play better (especially stringed instruments).
kaizen
Korean metrosexual singer or any other asian metrosexual singers = big no no in America.
Mid-Night_Sun
meh...we already hit rock bottom with Hung...cant get any worse so...
donthateonboca

Mid-Night_Sun
i disagree...nothing he did was awsome to me. ive wanted to kill him for awhile now.
donthateonboca
his songs were so bad it was actually entertaining. but that guy was an idiot nevertheless.

You're kidding right? Most singers in America can actually sing???! NOT!!! Haha! That's so ignorant. Hello...Britney Spears, J-Lo, Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton, Ashley Simpson, Paula Abdul, the list can go on. SOME singers in america can actually sing. It's more about the packaging. Image is a product to sell these days.

I am white and as for SE7EN, I am thrilled he is making his way to the usa. I already have all of his cd's I've ordered online and I listen to them all the time. He needs to seriously work on his english is he seriously wants to succeed here, but I don't see that being much of a problem for him. It won't take long for him to learn english. He's already fluent, or almost fluent, in a couple of other languages. I think he is a truely gifted performer. His voice is superb. He is an awesome singer. As for BI (RAIN), he's an extremely talented dancer and actor, his singing is good, but not great. Perhaps they are going full speed ahead with SE7EN to the U.S. instead of BI is because BI is extremely korean looking. Not that that's a bad thing. If he was standing in front of me I don't think I could resist him. He's absolutely gorgeous with his smoldering sexiness and bedroom eyes. BI looks and sounds older than he is. He's very manly. In contrast, SE7EN looks his age and has a younger boyish voice that would really appeal to american teens and chicks in their early 20's, but we don't always want a boy, we want a man too. They figure that once we are hooked on SE7EN we can watch him blossom into something more manly as well, as we grow up with him. I just hope america doesn't change him for the worst. SE7EN comes off as very charming and sweet. That appealed to me. I'm just really tired of american music being so sexual. It's like musical porn now.

When SE7EN was on the newly developed MTV K, with several other korean acts, one fan asked what makes korean performers so special? Sean or Juni or whatever didn't know what to say, until one of them said, "koreans are really smart" which I thought was a dumb answer. You're trying to sell music here, not mathematics. If I was there I would have raised my hand and said, I know!, Koreans are very soulful. It is true. They are very soulful and passionate performers. Yeah, not all of them, but compared to america, they are. I really enjoy watching SE7EN perform because I know he's enjoying performing.

it's sad really, because I have a feeling it'll happen to se7en and bi. hmm.

I have to agree with your assessment of talents, but talent as a vocalist is not what has been pulling in sales in the U.S. for a while now.

I am not a fan of Se7en, but he does have a following here. Its not a big as Rain's, but with a better business organization than Rain's tour had, Se7en will do better.

Even the Wonder Girls got some notice despite JYP being their backer.
