nope. my freshman year, i was broke with no job. i hardly ever left campus. they would sometimes serve "asian" meals in the caf but it used uncle bean which isn't the same.

Oh.. 1/2 month. I wasn't as hungry during those times.

About 2 months. Then I was introduced to Indian basmati rice---my favorite ever since.

Jasmine rice just doesnt cut it anymore.

I know what you're talking about---the longer basmati rice--i think they serve those in morrocan restaurants. But i dont remember the name.

i was like that too, but then i started college, at first i was really happy that i didnt have to eat rice everyday but now i crave it. im so sick of eatting food that come out of boxes everyday..i guess the first year is the hardest. I'm having withdrawal symptoms. Rice is like cocaine, the first month always is the hardest.

oh yeah I know this place in Sài Gòn that has awesome fried rice, it's like the best in the world. No restaurant I know has better rice. try a dish a cơm chiên tôm or gà. their tôm chiên and gà chiên is excellent too.
thinking of it make me hungry lol.

Over a month or maybe longer. I am not a finicky eater. However, I prefer eating different things each day and each meal. I'll eat anything that move one time or the other. I have never experienced rice withdraw.

Have you ever try the Mediterranean rice ? I believe they're from the middle eastern countries like Iran/Iraq.
Their rice is so fluffy and so good especially if you eat with lamb/beef shish kebob.
