Triệu Đà 趙佗 was a who founded the kingdom of Nam Việt 南越. He was also the founder of the Triệu Dynasty of Nam viet 南越.

At the end of the Qin Dynasty, Triệu Đà married a Nam Viet wife. He took control of the region of modern-day Guangdong and Guangxi. Triệu Đà 趙佗 built up his power and territory, then partially through alliances with Nam Việt.

Triệu Đà declared himself the King of Nam Việt " Nanyue " ("Southern viet") and set up his capital at Panyu (番禺) the site of modern-day Guangzhou. Triệu Đà made up the name Nam viet , then became vietnam.

Triệu Đà who consider to be Vietnamese do so on the basis that his seizure of Âu Lạc and his independent rule of it were an act of defiance of the Western Han Dynasty. They believe that the dynasty he founded, nhà Triệu, should be included in the official record of Vietnamese dynastic history. Canton and Canxi should belong to Vietnam territory today.

1. There was no Vietnam back then
2. The fathers of ancient Viet nation are Kinh Dương Vương and Lạc Long Quân
3. The father of modern Viet nation is Ngô Quyền

Kinh Dương Vương and Lạc Long Quân were our fathers and our first king.

Ngô Quyền marked the separation of Giao Chỉ/An Nam from China, forming Đại Việt ---> Vietnamese today.
Ngô Quyền of Vietnam is like George Washington of U.S.

The question is: could there have been a Dai Viet without the Trung sisters? I don't think so - In fact, I view the Trung sisters as the first heroines of Vietnam (which, for all the reverence we attach to the name of "Vietnam", is only the latest of the several names we have used for our country through the centuries). And even the name of "Vietnam" has changed meaning from the name that Prince Nguyen alias Gia Long had given for his private Kinh empire to the thoroughly egalitarian modern nation of today, which is inclusive and solicitous of its women and ethnic minorities.

As for Trieu Da as the founder of Vietnam, I have no idea whether it is is right to give him credit for that.
Happy Asian
Bull$hit, Trieu Da was nothing more then an occupying warlord!

The retard who started this thread is either a troll or a retard.

If Trieu Da is the "true father" of Vietnam then Hitler would be the "true father" of the modern-day Jews
