Vietnam needs to be prepared for the APEC Summit and provides strong and safe security to the delegates.

Why would any Islamic terroists want to attack Vietnam? I'm pretty sure the Viet Cong will cut them into a thousand pieces if they are stupid enough to do something like that.

SoCal : I can understand your concern . APEC is a huge market of 2, 5 billion people , but generating and creating -almost- 70% of all the world ' s wealth . Oh well , more than 60% few yrs back

After 9/11 and Iraq . Vietnam got noticed as one of the safe places .

The bigest enemy of communist are those Falun Gong people. Falun Dafa are not the terrorists, they just oppose those communist. These people consider as biggest challenger of communist. The Falun Gong has a big number of practitioners in the world . They need freedom of religion, freedom of speech . All these are for the very basic of Human Right.

I doubt it, Viet Nam has no or little connection to Islam and their Muslim followers, Viet Nam openly opposed the invasion of Iraq in 2003, Viet Nam has no or little impact on Middle Eastern affairs. Theres just no reason for them to try to attack Viet Nam even if they do want to I think it would be hard for them to try to carry a large amount of explosive around Viet Nam, or just entering it into Viet Nam for that matter with the government keeping an eye on everything. Plus last time I checked Viet Nam doesn't really have a home grown terrorist cell, links or support for Muslim extremist like Indonesia or the Phillipppines and Thailand.

Nobody is paying any attention to them any more... If they blow something up during APEC, they'll get some coverage and their leaders will get 15 min of media time.

The Viet Gov't should then try to use the "Water Treatement" that VP Cheney approved on all of them.
